Roman helmet, gold plated, with gems, pearls and glass pasta ornaments from Berkasovo, northern Serbia, 4th century AD.
This piece is considered as one of the most beautiful Roman helmets ever found. It probably belonged to a cavalry officer of emperor Licinius, who was defeated in Battle of Cibalae, against emperor Constantine I 314 or 316 AD. Collection of Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad
