We are very proud to share that our very own Miss Gina Johnson of High Storrs School, Sheffield has been awarded 'Outstanding State Sector' initiative, a prestigious award from The Classical Association!
This award is presented to individuals whose work is felt to have had a significant and positive impact on the teaching of Classics in the UK. What a fantastic and well-deserved achievement for Miss Johnson, who has been teaching Classics and Latin at High Storrs for nearly 40 years! So proud of my friend of very many years, and so very well deserved. Gina's committment to her teaching began when we were both seeking out our future paths as ingenues back in what seems like the 18th century. To see her now with this award fills me with pride that I knew her at that time. She may little know how often I still think of our friendship, and how I have always had the greatest regard for her strength of purpose. Well done, lass; your life of teaching is a beacon of light in a shaded world. Leave a Reply. |
